Fungi are the diverse group of organisms present anywhere and everywhere wherever we can think of. Their very existences have been noticed by the human being since the time immemorial. These organisms have shown their very presence in the present arena as on top priority because of multifaceted significance. It is needless to mention their uses in every walks of our life. As we know that the habit and habitat destructions are at an alarming rate and this again amounts to multifold care of the fungal organisms as no one knows when and how these important unnoticed neglected forms are lost for forever… This would be a great loss to the science, society and mankind…
Therefore, looking to their nature, structure, behaviour, substrate relationship etc. the authors have tried their best to introduce the subject and various fungal terminologies used in the text books, ref-erence books for study and basic understanding.
