Hypertension is global health problem and is growing to become a major threat. Medication is a common approach to control hypertension. The reported rates of BP control are low despite the availability of different drugs of proven effectiveness. This is largely because of non adherence to the prescribed medicines by the patients who either take drugs erratically or stop treatment on their own.
