As the very title suggest this book is developed with the aim to let teaching be
enjoyed, to those interested in teaching English & other subjects as well. It is
equally useful to teachers/educators & institutions involved in teacher
education/development. The book gives an insight to teaching learning process.
Besides, the relevant portion, the major areas with philosophical discussion are
equally useful for teachers. Of course, there are a lot of books on the topic.
Unfortunately many of them are either written by foreign writers or by those
who rarely practice actual classroom teaching with the learners at secondary
level. Many of books deal with the theoretical aspect only.
The target group of the book is secondary/intermediate level. For, this is the
level where most of the learner finds difficulty. In English language learning
process the preliminary level is completed by most of the learners. But almost all
could not make use of their knowledge & skill to acquire fluency in reading,
writing & speaking. This book is basically to help all such learners and, with an
earnest desire to provide suitable guidance & materials to all such practitioners.
The book is output of the effort individually as a teacher/Resource Person in
teaching/training. It consists of knowledge & skills developed going through
applied linguistics, Pedagogy, experience of various studies, exposures &
researches. Of course detailed book separately is available on various issues
discussed. But for an English teacher such a comprehensive discussion & useful
material complied uniquely is certainly not available.
It is difficult to quote exactly from where the idea came. The writer has under
gone a lot of books refresher/orientation courses. So, the content is the product
of experience as practicing teacher/teacher educator. It is actually tried the way
& have always found working & result oriented. Thus, to share experiences with
intellectuals finally decided to present. If this is useful it is realization of worth.
