I feel great pleasure in presenting this book “Antennas for Communication”  for the students preparing for engineering examination. Antennas and wave propagation is an important fundamental course for engineering branch of electronics and telecommunication, wireless communication and antenna designers also. The aim of this book is to provide the students a clear and easy presentation of the subject, basic concepts, principles and their link with radiation phenomenon.  The book has been assembled keeping in view the requirements for syllabi of various universities for the course of B.E. and B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication. The book is written in such a way that it helps the students in many ways. At the beginning of each chapter, full theory of the chapter is given, explaining the concept in simple language. All the related basic formulas are given systematically.  The book is so organized that understanding of the subject becomes easy even for new readers.

This book is structured to cover the key aspects of the subject antennas and radio waves. All the chapters of the book are arranged in proper sequence that permits each topic to build upon earlier studies. Review questions are provided at the end of each chapter. One section for MCQs and their answers with hints is added in the book which will help students for preparation of aptitude exams.
