Every one of us has defining moments in our lives- experiences that are permanently etched in our memory. Many of them are the outcome of chance or luck. A timely reply you gave in the interview that got you the job. A lucky encounter with someone who becomes the love of your life.

A new teacher who spots a talent that you did not know you had.

These moments seem to be the product of destiny or luck or maybe divine intervention.

This book, “Heartstring Moments” is a compendium of all the microfiction that I posted during the lockdown. The writings are based on a particular timeline and may not necessarily reflect the current scenario.

I also added a few other narratives that I had written earlier. This book is a bit of “Khichdi‟ comprising my thoughts, ideas, personal experiences, learning’s, and existential angst. A food for thought, so to speak. I hope it’s a judicious blend of “Khichdi‟ that’s been cooked by                                      your mother.

Nobody is dependent. Nobody is independent. But everybody is interdependent. In fact, the whole existence is interdependent. I would like to mention a few names who immensely contributed in the making of this book. My child hood friend and classmate, R.Haripanth who introduced me to Dr.J.S.Rajkumar who was kind enough to write the foreword. My son Abijith who patiently went through the manuscripts number of times to fine tune the content. I thank Rajalakshmi for the editing, typesetting and the entire computer related works.
