Throughout the years since Independence, Indian organizations have evolved to adopt and implement management practices adhering to global standards. Today, many Indian organizations have a dynamic presence in industrially advanced countries, competing with the best-in-class organizations globally. For Indian companies to sustain their competitive advantage and gain a stronger foothold in the international business scenario, it is imperative for students (and future managers) to understand the fundamentals of management clearly and imbibe the essence of Indian business practices. They need a textbook that will help them to achieve this goal.

In today’s fast-paced, complex and culturally-diverse work environment, managers often find their existing knowledge inadequate and out-dated. These managers need to learn, utilize and adapt modern management concepts and practices to achieve corporate and personal excellence. Modern Management Techniques have been written in response to these increasing requirements of practicing managers and students of management. This book enables future managers to get acquainted with current management concepts, practices and trends even before stepping into the actual work environment.

The book contains five modules and the text explains the concepts and theories in a cogent, easy-to-understand and user friendly manner. It facilitates the pupils to adopt a focused approach towards the modern management techniques.  We have provided a few Case Studies with the intention of enhancing the analytical and presentation skills of the students in the class room setting. Further, it contains chapter-wise short and long questions to check the understanding of the contents of each chapter.
