This book is a composite of erudition(knowledge) garnered from a plethora(variety) of founts(sources). Since the standard of English Language has downgraded and lost its original literary charm and elegance because of diverse dialects and colloquialism, I have succeeded in bringing together some exercises with questions that are hardly taught in India.English Grammar is humongously(extremely) vast. One has to memorize multitudinous rules and practise exercises based on those rules umpteen times to indite (write) flawless English. Unfortunately, the number of rules taught in Grammar is shockingly insufficient.

The literature-based English has putrefied (decayed) the backbone of English in India. Ravi yearns for(wants) a modification or transformation in the syllabus and question patterns of English Language. The author is not in a position to castigate (criticize) anyone. The nationally acclaimed author, T.N. Seshan wrote (in the page number 147 of his book,(“A Heart Full of Burden”), “In Madras there are students who come out with a literature honours degree but can’t write even one page without several mistakes in spelling and grammar.” None needs to say further after this remark. This is a pan-India phenomenon. Mr. Thomas, a retired principal of United Missionary Girls’ High School, wrote an article in The Times of India. He wrote that English Grammar has been receiving a step-motherly treatment in most schools.
