Maybe, then I was in eighth grade. One day we tried to write story and poem. I asked Gogoi Uncle, a professor of English, who resided near our home– “Uncle, how to write a story?” uncle replied to my question- “A story is like a hill. What the story wants to say in the reader’s mind at the beginning of the story — just like that, It has to be carried forward with curiosity! Then at top of the hill, I.e. in the middle of the story, the storyteller has to free the reader from curiosity and gradually we have to come down from the mountain to the end of the story. That said.”
I started writing stories keeping in mind my uncle’s noble words. The tender stories written during the high school days used to get publish in Beehives, newspapers’ children’s Corner. And that’s how the confidence of writing stories built up.
To take my literary pen forward with constructive criticism, advice, etc.
I would like to thank Nitya Publication, who give interest to publish my book. I would also like to thank Rumi Borah , Mintlime for encouraging me to publish the book. Thanks to my family members and readers.
Hope the esteemed readers will like the stories and expecting constructive dialogue from them.
Thanks & Regards
