“Empowering women is a prerequisite for creating a good nation, when women are empowered, the society with stability is assured. Empowerment of women is essential as their thoughts and their value systems lead to the development of a good family, good society and ultimately a good nation.”
– The Former President Sri. APJ Abdul Kalam
In the history of human development, the woman has been as important as man. Women are known for delivering multiple roles effortlessly per day; thus, they are considered the backbone of every society. Living in male-dominating societies, women play a wide range of roles, such as caring mothers, loving daughters, and capable colleagues. The best part is that they fit the bill perfectly in every role. They represent 50 percent ofthe world’s population, receive 10 percent of the world’s income, and own even less than one percent of the world’s property. They play an important role in the family and society, but they were discriminated in all essential areas of life, whether in terms of education, income, partner choice, inheritance laws, property rights, decision-making processes, community organization, or access to leadership positions in education, business, or politics. Despite rapid economic growth, gender disparities in women’s economic participation have remained deep and persistent in India. Since Independence, Government has made concerted efforts towards removing world’s biases.
